Role Overview
Our client, a leading large-cap Private Equity firm, is building out its Tech Operating function from scratch and is seeking a Tech Operating Partner to play a foundational role in shaping the firm’s technology strategy across its services sector portfolio. This is an interim-to-perm opportunity, offering a fast-track route to a long-term leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish the firm’s first Tech Operating function, defining its role, processes, and impact across the portfolio.
- Drive technology strategy, transformation, and value creation across multiple large-cap businesses.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, data architecture design, and IT infrastructure modernization.
- Support portfolio CIOs and CTOs, ensuring technology aligns with growth and operational goals.
- Oversee cloud migrations, enterprise system integrations, and cybersecurity enhancements.
- Conduct M&A tech due diligence, identifying risks and opportunities during acquisitions.
- Advise the PE fund on technology strategy at both the portfolio and fund levels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven track record as a CIO or CTO within large-cap, Private Equity-backed businesses.
- Experience building and leading tech functions within PE portfolio companies.
- Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, data architecture, ERP systems, and transformation programs.
- Strong background in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
- Fund-side Operating Partner experience preferred, but candidates who have recently gone through a Private Equity exit will also be considered.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused approach.
