The Opportunity
Finatal is working with a c.£120m consultancy company which is currently mid cycle with a credible private equity fund and likely sale process inside of the medium term The business has an international presence and has a strong brand reputation which makes this role particularly popular.
The business has set a positive tone culturally, boasting an excellent pattern of internal promotions and retention. The business requires a Financial Controller who will be front and centre to deliver major business change. The successful hire will be technically equipped, a strong business partner to aid cross functional communications, maximising systems, providing insightful analysis to senior stakeholders and particularly adept to ‘best in class’ standards.
The Responsibilities
- Comfortable overseeing the business accounting function with a team of 3 direct reports
- Business partnering with the Head of Commercial Finance and senior stakeholders
- Supervise the month close cycle – ensure accurate reporting
- Manage and develop the accounting team
- Responsible for monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Play an active role in maximising the businesses working capital cycle
- Fluent in financial compliance: regulatory requirements and accounting standards – UK GAAP and IFRS
The Requirements
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with substantial post qualified experience
- Experience within manufacturing or consumer brand
- Passionate about technical finance with proven finance leadership experience, ability to build a ‘best in class’ finance function
