A leading PE-backed wholesale distribution platform is seeking a VP of Finance to lead FP&A and operational finance across a multi-site footprint approaching $1B+ in revenue. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO, with significant exposure to private equity sponsors, the Board, and lenders

What You Will Do
- Own the organization-wide rolling forecast, annual budget, and long-range strategic financial model, ensuring alignment with growth and value creation objectives
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for the executive team and PE sponsors, with clear narratives on variances, KPIs, and key business drivers
- Standardize financial performance metrics across all branch locations, giving divisional leaders actionable unit-level economics
- Lead ROI tracking and pro forma modeling for strategic initiatives including pricing, cost optimization, and operational investments
- Partner closely with the Chief Accounting Officer on cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital performance
- Serve as the financial champion for the ERP platform, partnering with IT and Operations to enhance workflows and automate finance processes
- Build and scale Power BI dashboards translating transactional data into real-time insights for leadership and PE sponsors
- Support M&A activity including financial modeling, pro forma development, integration planning, data mapping, and standardized reporting for acquisitions
- Build and lead a high-performing FP&A and financial analytics function
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 3-5 years in a senior finance role (VP or Senior Director) within a PE-backed portfolio company strongly preferred
- Proven experience in wholesale distribution or multi-state industrial environments, with strong understanding of high-volume, multi-location operating models
- Experience scaling businesses approaching or exceeding $1B in revenue
- Deep expertise in financial modeling including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI/pro forma analysis
- Familiarity with M&A environments including diligence, modeling, or post-close integration
- Experience preparing materials for Boards, lenders, and PE sponsors in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Advanced data mastery, with the ability to leverage ERP and Power BI to build automated data pipelines
