The Opportunity:
A private equity-backed marketing company are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to play a key role in a period of organic and acquisitional growth. You will play a key role in the international expansion of a Fast Track 100 company and will have the opportunity to build a best in class commercial finance function.
The Role:
You will drive a business partnering culture, supporting senior stakeholders with insightful analysis. You will produce and present business cases, support M&A, implement KPIs and will be responsible for driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective number 2 to the CFO in all practicality
- Overall ownership for the delivery of the budget across the business
- Owner of the business’s performance operating cycle:
- Budget process
- Forecasting processes (annual, rolling and long range)
- Monthly reporting
Weekly performance review - KPI reporting & driving centralised BI capability
- Active management and reporting of the sales pipeline
- Commercial support for business
- support the negotiations of new commercial contractual terms & renewal of existing contracts
- review of commercial contracts
- Ownership of headcount
- definitions & process
- resource planning
- forecast & requirements
Board slides relating to commercial/business performance &
fcst- M&A & integration involvement
- Evaluating acquisition opportunities
- Commercial DD
- Joint business planning
- Post-merger integration
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ CIMA)
- Broad experience and evidence of delivering business performance improvement, especially top line growth
- Experience of leading Commercial Finance function and all that entails, from budgeting & forecasting to KPI reporting and providing insight
- Ability to demonstrate thriving within a growth environment and working to changing parameters
- Beneficial to have worked in B2B sector or ability to show deep understanding of the value drivers of growth in that environment
- Advantageous to have worked in VC/PE environment
- M&A and integration experience would be beneficial, but not essential
