The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Financial Operations Manager to join an international leading Fintech business, with 250 employees worldwide.

As part of this role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and other internal and external parties to ensure all reconciliations are performed accurately and in a timely manner across all currencies and entities.

You will work closely with the Head of Financial Operations and have the ability to deputise as needed, so as to ensure other financial operational processes, including deposit matching; FOA debtor tracking; customer fund pulls; customer refunds and platform manual adjustments; along with all related policies, processes and daily reconciliations are performed accurately and in a timely manner across all currencies and entities.

The Role

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reconciling client funds across all customer accounts
  • Ensure adherence with controls defined under RR21 SOX
  • Responsible for the daily customer funding validation process, ensuring that any issues are
  • escalated in a timely manner
  • Verification of the critical financial data output and subsequent troubleshooting, follow up as and when required
  • Assist with and maintain effective working relationships with our financial issuer as a point of contact for finance-related queries
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure any; bank charges, rebates, unmatched deposits,
  • refunds, manual adjustments and negative customer balances are highlighted, rectified and
  • escalated in a timely manner
  • Analyse, investigate and resolve historical differences within the reconciliation spreadsheet
  • Review customer funding as appropriate, highlighting any variances that occur
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on the existing processes
  • Facilitate and drive performance development and talent succession plans

Qualifications & Experience

Key requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Management experience.
  • Relevant experience in reconciling financial data.
  • Excellent knowledge of excel.
  • Payments industry experience is advantageous.
