The Opportunity:

12 Month Contract

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant role. Our client is a high growth Private-Equity backed construction business. They are based in North London c.£90m t/o who have sustained excellent growth within their market during covid -19. Looking for someone outgoing and enthusiastic to come into the business, directly reporting into the FC and also working alongside an experienced PE CFO, who will help develop their skillset as an accountant. The role will be 9 months with the vision of moving into a permanent and more senior position at the end of the duration of this contract, for the right individual.

The Role:

  • Producing management accounts for the main trading company and 4 holding companies
  • Assisting with the consolidation of accounts for Group level reporting
  • Completing monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Conducting analytical review of monthly figures and reporting on variances to budget/forecast
  • Preparation of VAT, CIS and EC Sales returns and reconciliations
  • Assisting with the yearend audit and tax schedules, and quarterly bank audits
  • Supporting the yearend statutory accounts production and audit process
  • Bank payments and reconciliations
  • Staff expenses and credit card processing
  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable teams where required
  • Supporting the Senior Management Accountant with all other ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks as     required
  • Willingly perform ad hoc duties as required

About You:

  • You must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • You must be able to perform in a high growth, fast paced environment
  • You must be able to demonstrate prior ownership of management accounts
  • Prior construction experience is desirable
  • Having a personable persona and being able to fit into their company culture is a must
