Finatal are currently recruiting for a VP Finance to join a high-growth, VC-backed B2B SaaS fintech business based in London. With £5m ARR and strong institutional backing from a highly reputable venture capital firm, the business is entering an exciting scale-up phase, targeting £30m ARR over the next 3 years through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, with a clear exit horizon.
This is a critical leadership hire, working closely with the CEO and investors to professionalise the finance function, support strategic decision-making, and drive value creation ahead of a planned exit.
The Role
As VP Finance, you will take ownership of the finance function, building scalable processes and providing commercial insight to support rapid growth. This role offers significant exposure to investors and board-level decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the finance function, ensuring it is fit for scale
- Owning financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting
- Driving commercial finance insights to support growth and profitability
- Supporting fundraising, M&A activity, and integration of acquisitions
- Preparing the business for exit, including investor reporting and due diligence readiness
- Implementing robust financial controls, systems, and processes
- Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team
The Candidate
We are looking for a high-calibre finance leader with experience in high-growth environments, ideally within SaaS or fintech.
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a B2B SaaS or fintech business
- Strong track record in scaling finance functions in a high-growth environment
- Experience with fundraising, M&A, or exit processes is highly desirable
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
