Finatal are currently partnering with a £36m ARR, investor-backed B2B SaaS data platform to appoint a VP Finance. Operating across the UK, US, and EMEA, the business delivers mission-critical analytics and workflow software to enterprise clients within financial services and insurance, and has built a strong reputation for product innovation and customer retention (c.95%+ net revenue retention).
Following a recent strategic investment from a top-tier growth equity fund, the business is now entering a significant scale phase, targeting £75m+ ARR over the next 3–4 years through a combination of international expansion, product development, and a defined buy-and-build strategy.
This is a pivotal hire, offering the opportunity to work alongside an experienced CFO and leadership team to drive performance, scale infrastructure, and position the business for a premium exit.
The Role
The VP Finance will act as the engine room of the finance function, combining commercial insight with operational rigour in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and evolving the FP&A function, delivering best-in-class forecasting, scenario modelling, and board reporting
- Acting as a strategic partner to GTM, product, and operations teams to drive revenue growth and optimise unit economics
- Leading global financial operations across multiple entities (UK, US, and Europe)
- Supporting the execution of a buy-and-build strategy, including deal evaluation, financial due diligence, and integration
- Driving systems and data improvements (ERP / BI tooling) to enhance reporting speed and accuracy
- Preparing the business for exit, including investor readiness, data room preparation, and engagement with advisors
- Building and mentoring a high-performing, scalable finance team
The Candidate
We are seeking a high-impact finance leader who combines strong technical ability with commercial acumen and thrives in a scaling, PE-backed environment.
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a £20m–£100m ARR SaaS or tech-enabled business
- Strong track record in FP&A, commercial finance, and business partnering
- Experience in a private equity or growth equity-backed environment
- Exposure to M&A and integration in a buy-and-build context
- Advanced financial modelling and data analysis capability
- Confident operating at board level with investors and senior stakeholders
