THE WINNERS ARE…
CFO OF THE YEAR
1ST PLACE – CHRIS STORR
AUTOGRAPH CARE GROUP, BACKED BY CABOT SQUARE CAPITAL.
Over the past 12 months, during the COVID pandemic, Chris has led the business through what has been the most extreme operational environment the social care sector has ever faced. Chris stepped outside of his comfort zone, immersed himself into care standards, staffing rotas and PPE supply chains – going well above the role of a CFO, stepping into the role of Managing Director. Chris introduced daily briefings to adapt to rapidly evolving Government guidance and to facilitate quick decision making, whilst introducing a suite of new technology platforms to ensure the business continued to operate with limited on-site access. All Chris’s efforts had the core focus of keeping residents and staff safe and the resilience of the business in this period, was in no small part down to Chris. “Chris’s exceptional leadership skills, ability to adapt and genuine person-centered approach helped safeguard some of society’s most vulnerable people.” All judges were mutually agreeable that the role Chris played during the past 12 months was exceptional and one to be highly awarded with CFO of the Year!
“I am delighted that my contribution towards the management of the business through the extreme challenges presented by Covid has been recognised with this award. This would not have been possible of course without the support of the Senior Management Team at Autograph and the ongoing investment from Cabot Square Capital.” Chris Storr, CFO, Autograph Care Group”

During the past 12 months, Gus has kept Riverdale Healthcare swiftly moving forwards, managing the balance sheets during the first three months of lock down when the dental clinics were closed and then subsequently exceeding forecasts each month ensuring the management team and board had the confidence to re start the businesses acquisition strategy. Gus ensured skilful leadership throughout and continued to complete acquisitions, six within six months – “taking the business through a full debt refinancing in Q1 2021 and successfully bringing on-board a new lender to provide all the necessary debt to finance the business plan to reach 60 clinics by way of acquisition by 2023.” Our judging panel found it an extremely close second place as Gus has clearly played a pivotal, vital, and exceptional role within Riverdale.
