Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer | PE-Backed B2B SaaS | US Remote (East Coast to Mountain Time)

Finatal has been retained to find a CFO for a PE-backed B2B SaaS business, in the lower middle market, with a strong product, a growing customer base, and a sponsor that knows how to take businesses to market. The business is in the middle of a meaningful growth phase and the board wants a finance leader in place well ahead of a planned liquidity event.

Owning the finance function end to end is key, from the fundamentals through to board reporting, strategic planning, and transaction readiness.

They need a genuine partner, not a gatekeeper.

You will be the right fit if you have:

  • Held the CFO seat at a PE-backed B2B SaaS business, ideally in the lower-mid market
  • Built a finance function rather than inherited one
  • Taken a business through a sale process or been central to a liquidity event
  • The credibility to sit alongside a founder and the discipline to deliver for a sponsor

Location: Remote. Candidates can be based anywhere from the East Coast through Mountain Time.

Competitive base, bonus, and real equity upside will be offered.

  • Lead banking, lender, and investor relationships and support future financing or transaction activities.
  • Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic analyses to the Board and ownership group.

  • Strong background in FP&A, business analytics, and commercial finance.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with operations and supply chain leaders to improve profitability and cash flow.
  • Track record of leading transformational initiatives, including systems implementations, process improvements, and organizational development.
