Job Description:
As the Senior Associate, Corporate Finance & FP&A, you will play a leadership role supporting mergers & acquisitions, transaction execution, capital markets initiatives, and strategic finance projects. Reporting directly to the CFO and partnering closely with executive leadership and the Senior Advisor, you will help lead acquisition execution, coordinate due diligence efforts, manage relationships with private equity ownership, lenders, and external advisors, and drive the financial analyses that support key strategic decisions.
This role is ideal for someone with prior Investment Banking, Private Equity, Infrastructure Investing, Corporate Development, or transaction-focused Corporate Finance experience who is looking to transition into a high-impact role within a private equity-backed operating company while remaining actively involved in acquisitions, financing initiatives, and executive-level decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day execution of buy-side M&A transactions from initial evaluation through diligence and closing.
- Coordinate cross-functional transaction workstreams across executive leadership, private equity ownership, lenders, sell-side advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee acquisition, valuation, pro forma, integration, and capital structure financial models.
- Prepare investment memoranda, Board presentations, lender materials, and executive reporting packages.
- Lead financial due diligence efforts and help standardize the company’s M&A processes and transaction playbook.
- Support debt refinancing initiatives, lender relationships, covenant analysis, and capital structure planning.
- Build and enhance consolidated financial models, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning models.
- Analyze business performance, operational KPIs, and strategic growth initiatives to support executive decision-making.
- Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Operations to deliver timely financial reporting and actionable business insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 7+ years of Investment Banking, Infrastructure Investing, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or transaction-focused Corporate Finance experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading mergers & acquisitions, financial due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, including private equity sponsors, lenders, investment banking advisors, and executive leadership.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership, Boards, or investors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience within a private equity-backed operating company preferred.
- Experience within infrastructure, telecom, fiber, broadband, utilities, or other asset-intensive industries is a plus.
