A PE-backed professional services platform is seeking a Head of Corporate Development to play a pivotal role in delivering its inorganic growth strategy. This is a senior, hands-on position with end-to-end ownership of transactions, from execution through to integration and value creation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead transactions from term sheet through to completion, including valuation, financial modelling, diligence and negotiations
- Manage multi-stream due diligence processes and adviser coordination
- Own post-merger integration, including Day 1 readiness, 100-day planning and synergy tracking
- Establish best-in-class PMI processes and governance frameworks
- Support board and investor reporting, including investment papers and value creation tracking
- Deliver strategic and operational projects in support of the wider growth agenda
Candidate profile:
- Proven experience leading M&A transactions end-to-end within an in-house, PE-backed, corporate development environment
- Strong buy and build exposure, ideally within professional or business services (not essential)
- Deep technical capability across modelling, valuation and diligence management
- Demonstrated track record in post-merger integration and value creation planning and/or execution
- Commercially credible with the ability to operate effectively with senior stakeholders, founders and PE sponsors
