The Opportunity
Finatal has partnered with the exceptional CEO of a digital marketing agency which recently received private equity investment, and now demands a CFO to partner on the next high growth phase. The investor is a middle market fund with a sector focus on consumer, and business services brands. The expertise of the fund, combined with the CEO who has an impressive track record to date, will be a strong partnership to join. The business boasts impressive clientele, is highly profitable, with current revenues c.$40m with the ambition to scale largely through organic growth to beyond c.$100m.
Consequent of the funds recent investment, the business demands a CFO who is comfortable leading on both strategy, and has the humility to be hands-on in the delivery of broader professionalisation projects which will support the predicted scale ahead. Typical hold period for the fund is c.3 years therefore experience of an exit process is desirable.
The Requirements
- MBA or CPA qual
- 10-15 years of financial leadership experience
- Experience as a CFO in a private equity backed environment, with quantifiable examples of hands-on change delivery, ideally following a primary buyout.
- Experience in a marketing / agency business would be desirable.
The Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the founder, and fund on strategic initiatives.
- Primary liaison for the private equity fund, and lead engagement of the broader business on the organisations vision.
- Critically assess the existing function, and lead implementations to support scalability.
- Develop business metrics, dashboards and reporting for insightful information
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Partner with the fund on potential acquisitions.
- Provide regular performance updates to the executive team, and private equity investors including KPI’s and analysis of trends.
- Partner with audit team to facilitate external audits and adhere to the reporting and regulatory requirements.
