We are partnering with a high-growth, B2B SaaS business backed by leading growth equity investors, now looking to appoint its first Chief Financial Officer.

With ARR currently sub-£5m and a highly scalable, low ACV, high-volume customer model, the business is entering a critical phase of its journey—focused on scaling organically to £20m+ ARR and delivering a successful exit.

Already operating across multiple jurisdictions with a global customer base, this is a rare opportunity to build and lead the finance function from the ground up in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with investors, the CFO will play a central role in driving financial strategy, operational rigour, and commercial insight.

This is a hands-on, build-oriented role with one direct report, requiring a leader who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and scaling the finance function, processes, and infrastructure
  • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial modelling
  • Developing robust SaaS metrics and reporting (ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV)
  • Driving data-led decision making across the business
  • Supporting international scaling, including multi-jurisdictional compliance
  • Partnering with the CEO on growth strategy, pricing, and unit economics
  • Preparing the business for future fundraising and exit processes
  • Acting as a key interface with investors and the Board

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a CFO who combines strong SaaS experience with a genuine desire to operate in a high-growth, hands-on environment.

Key requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Proven experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in a growth equity, VC, or PE-backed environment
  • Experience operating in low ACV, high-volume customer models (critical)
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, cohort analysis, and unit economics
  • Track record of building or scaling finance functions in early-stage or growth businesses
  • Comfortable working in a lean environment with limited resources
  • Experience supporting international operations and multi-jurisdictional complexity
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
