Controller – Private Equity-Backed Services Business | Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Finatal is partnering with a leading private equity-backed, multi-site services business to appoint a Controller supporting the next phase of growth and value creation.

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this is a highly visible leadership opportunity within a business approaching $500M in revenue, operating across 70+ locations with more than 1,400 employees. The company continues to invest in operational excellence, strategic acquisitions, and scalable finance infrastructure.

The Opportunity

As Controller, you’ll lead the accounting and financial reporting function while partnering closely with executive leadership to build a scalable finance organization. This role will oversee the monthly close, strengthen internal controls, improve reporting processes, and support lender, board, and private equity reporting as the business continues to grow. You’ll also play a key role in acquisitions, integrations, and broader finance transformation initiatives.

We’re Looking For

  • Current Controller, Assistant Controller, or high-potential accounting leader ready for the next step
  • CPA preferred
  • Approximately 5–10+ years of progressive accounting/controller experience
  • Experience within blue-collar services strongly preferred; distribution, manufacturing, or logistics backgrounds also highly relevant
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, close management, and internal controls experience
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment
  • Dallas-based or willing to commute to the office (hybrid)

Compensation

  • $175,000 base
  • Performance bonus
  • No equity

If you’re looking to join a high-growth, PE-backed business where you can make a meaningful impact while helping scale the finance function, I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
