Finatal are partnered with a £20m t/o PE-backed SaaS business providing global financial market data and analytics. Following acquisition by PE in 2025, the company is scaling rapidly and seeking a hands-on Group Financial Controller to lead finance through this growth phase and PE exit. Immediate availability or 1-month notice max required.

Role Summary

Reporting to the CFO, you will own end-to-end finance across all entities with a small team. This includes management reporting, statutory compliance, cashflow, budgeting, and financial governance. You will support PE reporting, M&A activity, and investor communications while driving operational efficiency in a NetSuite-enabled SaaS business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close, consolidated accounts, board packs, and audit deliverables.
  • Manage SaaS revenue recognition, deferred income, and contract accounting.
  • Own cash-flow, working capital, forecasts, budgets, and financial controls.
  • Lead statutory compliance, audits, VAT, payroll, tax, and intercompany reporting.
  • Drive NetSuite ERP optimisation, automation, and process improvement.
  • Partner with FP&A and business teams to deliver insightful reporting and support M&A integration.
  • Present financial results to CFO, Executive Team, Board, and PE investors.

About You

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5–10 years post-qualification experience.
  • Hands-on finance leader with experience in PE-backed SaaS/ recurring-revenue businesses.
  • Strong exposure to SaaS, NetSuite, M&A, and PE reporting (essential).
  • Experienced in end-to-end group accounting, month-end close, and audit.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Immediate availability or 1-month notice.
