We’re partnering with a fast-growing international business undergoing significant transformation following a major merger and integration programme. With operations across multiple global markets, the organisation is building a best-in-class finance function to support its next stage of growth — and is now looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join the leadership team.

This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibility for global controllership, treasury, tax, financial reporting, audit, and finance transformation initiatives.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to take ownership of technical finance across a complex, multi-jurisdictional business while helping shape the future of the finance function through automation, AI adoption, and process improvement.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening controls, improving reporting quality, driving efficiency, and supporting the wider business through an exciting period of operational and cultural change.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead global month-end close and consolidated financial reporting
  • Oversee statutory reporting, audits, compliance, and technical accounting
  • Manage treasury activities including cash flow, liquidity, FX, and banking relationships
  • Lead global tax compliance and planning activities
  • Build and enhance internal controls, finance policies, and governance frameworks
  • Drive finance transformation programmes, including automation and AI initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership, regional finance teams, auditors, and external advisors
  • Lead and develop international finance teams across multiple geographies

An ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in senior financial controllership or group finance leadership roles
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting background within complex international businesses
  • Experience managing audit, treasury, tax, and multi-entity reporting environments
  • Proven track record delivering finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving, and post-merger environments
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Exposure to ERP transformation, automation, or AI-enabled finance processes is highly desirable
