The Role
We are collaborating with a £20m turnover construction company, currently navigating its mid-cycle phase with a respected private equity partner. With a strong global footprint and a reputable brand, this opportunity is highly sought after. The business is in need of a Head of Finance who will report directly to the Managing Director, playing a key role in driving transformative changes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical financial skills, exceptional business partnering abilities, and an aptitude for enhancing systems and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.
Key Duties
- Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring smooth operations
- Collaborate closely with the MD and Investors to drive strategic decisions
- Report to both the MD and Group CFO
- Oversee month-end procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Take full ownership of balance sheet and cash flow reporting monthly
- Manage all financial operations, including management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Play an integral role in optimising the company’s working capital and cash flow cycle
Skills and Experience
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience
- Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred
- Exposure to private equity-backed or highly leveraged environments is advantageous
