Finatal is supporting a growing Private Equity backed manufacturing business in the appointment of a commercially focused Head of Finance. Following a period of sustained growth, the business is seeking an experienced finance leader to strengthen financial reporting, improve operational performance, and support the delivery of its strategic objectives.
Reporting directly to the CFO and partnering closely with the wider leadership team, this role offers significant exposure to decision making and will be instrumental in driving financial and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for leading all core finance activities while helping to shape strategic initiatives across manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, inventory management and capital investment.
The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys balancing strong financial stewardship with commercial influence and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can directly impact performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and business planning processes.
- Deliver insightful management information and board reporting.
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to drive profitability and performance.
- Improve financial controls, processes and governance across the business.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Support strategic initiatives including growth projects, capex and potential M&A activity.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting, systems and working capital management.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven finance leadership experience within Private Equity backed manufacturing, industrials or engineering businesses.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting and forecasting.
- Experience partnering with operational stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed or complex environment is advantageous.
- Hands-on, ambitious and comfortable operating in a fast-paced business.
