The Business

A growing, investment-backed services business is looking to appoint a senior finance professional to support the next phase of its expansion. With a strong market position and ambitious growth plans, the business requires an individual capable of driving financial performance, improving decision-making, and providing leadership across the finance function.

The Position

Working closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of finance whilst acting as a key partner to operational stakeholders. This role combines financial control, commercial insight, and team leadership, making it ideal for someone seeking a broad and influential position within a scaling organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance team and oversee all day-to-day financial operations.
• Deliver accurate management information and performance reporting to senior leadership.
• Partner with operational teams to drive profitability and improve business performance.
• Support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate year-end activities and external audit processes.
• Review and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting procedures.
• Contribute to business initiatives, acquisitions, and growth projects where required.

Candidate Profile

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Experience leading a finance function within a growing business environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity whilst maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Proven ability to improve processes and drive change.
• Previous experience within services, environmental, industrial, logistics, or infrastructure sectors would be advantageous.
