The Opportunity
Finatal is working with a c.£15m turnover construction business which is currently mid cycle with a credible private equity fund. The business has a global presence and a strong brand reputation which makes this role particularly popular. The business requires a Financial Controller to report to the MD who will be front and centre to deliver major business change. The successful hire will be technically equipped, a strong business partner to aid cross functional communications, maximising systems and providing insightful analysis to senior stakeholders.
The Responsibilities
· Comfortable overseeing the business’ finance function.
· Business partnering with the MD and Investors
· Reporting directly into the MD and Group CFO.
· Supervise the month end to ensure accurate reporting.
· Responsible for monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting
· Own all aspects of financial management, including management accounting as well as strategic finance, including budgeting and forecast.
· Play an active role in maximising the business’ working capital cycle.
The Requirements
· ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, or equivalent, with substantial post-qualified experience
· Experience within the construction sector is preferred.
· Experience working in a PE-backed or highly leveraged environment will be beneficial.
