A market-leading, high-growth FMCG business, backed by a prominent mid-market private equity firm, is seeking an accomplished Interim Finance Director to help drive its ambitious growth and transformation agenda. With a strong focus on operational excellence, strategic scaling, and value creation, this role is pivotal in supporting the executive team during a critical phase of the business’s journey.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide strong financial leadership and oversight, ensuring robust financial controls, governance, and reporting.
· Partner closely with the CEO and private equity investors to align financial strategy with the business’s growth objectives.
· Oversee and professionalise the finance function, mentoring and developing the existing team to ensure high performance.
· Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, delivering actionable insights to support decision-making.
· Lead initiatives to optimize working capital, improve profitability, and enhance cash flow visibility.
· Support strategic initiatives, including M&A activity, due diligence, and integration of new acquisitions.
· Prepare the business for potential exit events, including IPO or secondary transactions, ensuring readiness for investor scrutiny.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
· Qualified accountant (ACA preferred) with significant experience in senior financial leadership roles.
· Proven track record in private equity-backed environments, particularly in high-growth or FMCG sectors.
· Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and investors.
· Experience managing complex financial structures, including working capital optimization and M&A integration.
· Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a hands-on, pragmatic approach to challenges.
