We are working with a private equity-backed professional services group seeking an ambitious, newly qualified accountant to join its finance team as an Interim FP&A Analyst.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA from a Big 4 Transaction Services background to transition into a commercially focused role, working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team. There is significant scope to take on additional responsibility, with the potential to progress into a Finance Business Partner or FP&A Manager position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Analyse business performance, profitability and cash flow
  • Assist with monthly management reporting and variance analysis
  • Support the CFO with board packs and private equity investor reporting
  • Work closely with operational teams to improve financial visibility
  • Support acquisition analysis, integration and value creation initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting and financial processes

Ideal candidate:

  • Newly qualified ACA, ideally with 1–3 years of Big 4 Transaction Services experience
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial skills
  • Exposure to financial due diligence, deal analysis or quality of earnings
  • Looking to move away from a purely transaction-focused environment into commercial finance
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop towards a future FP&A Manager role

The opportunity:

A great entry point into the private equity-backed environment for a newly qualified ACA looking to combine their transaction experience with commercial finance, strategic decision-making and long-term career progression.
