We are partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed payments business seeking an experienced Interim Head of FP&A to strengthen its FP&A function during an important period of growth and change.
This is a high-impact mandate requiring someone who can quickly get under the skin of the business, take ownership of planning and forecasting and significantly improve the quality of financial insight available to senior leadership and investors.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical FP&A capability with a highly commercial approach, working closely with the CFO and wider leadership team to provide greater visibility over performance, challenge assumptions and support key strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across the business.
- Build and enhance financial models covering revenue, profitability, cash flow and key commercial drivers.
- Improve KPI reporting and provide clear visibility over business performance and variances against plan.
- Deliver high-quality commercial analysis and financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support board and investor reporting within the PE-backed environment.
- Review and improve existing FP&A processes, reporting and ways of working.
Candidate Profile
We’re keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:
- Significant FP&A leadership experience within payments, fintech or wider financial services environments.
- Previous experience operating within a PE-backed, high-growth or change-led environment.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and commercial analysis capability.
- A commercially minded and hands-on approach, with the ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels.
- Ability to work on-site in London 3–4 days per week.
- Immediately available or available at short notice.
