We are partnering with a private equity-backed professional services business seeking an Interim M&A Manager to support a highly active acquisition agenda during a key phase of growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, acquisitive organisation executing a buy-and-build strategy, working closely with senior leadership, investors, and external advisers to drive transaction activity across the UK market.
The successful candidate will play a critical role throughout the deal lifecycle, supporting acquisition opportunities from initial evaluation through to completion and integration. This position is ideally suited to candidates with experience in Corporate Development, Transaction Services, M&A Advisory, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking environments.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting acquisitions from initial opportunity assessment through to completion.
- Conducting financial analysis, valuation modelling, and investment appraisals.
- Managing financial, commercial, legal, tax, and operational due diligence workstreams.
- Preparing investment papers, board presentations, and acquisition recommendations.
- Supporting negotiations with business owners, management teams, and external advisers.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to develop and execute post-acquisition integration plans.
- Monitoring acquisition performance and supporting value creation initiatives.
- Building relationships with corporate finance advisers, intermediaries, and prospective acquisition targets.
- Supporting pipeline development, market mapping, and strategic acquisition initiatives.
- Assisting with wider corporate development and growth projects as the business continues to scale.
About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience within Corporate Development, M&A, Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and transaction execution capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of the end-to-end acquisition process.
- Excellent commercial acumen and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- The ability to operate independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within a private equity-backed or acquisitive organisation would be advantageous.
- ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
