The Role
Finatal is partnered with a London-based mid-market private equity fund who are looking to expand their Operating Team. This is a chance to work within a scaling fund alongside a world-class team, driving value creation across a diverse portfolio. We’re looking for a generalist with a strong private equity background, who can enhance returns across multiple portfolio companies and sectors. You’ll work closely with management teams to optimise performance, implement strategic initiatives, and drive operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing strategic initiatives to enhance growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Conduct operational due diligence to identify risks, opportunities, and best practices across portfolio companies.
- Support leadership teams by developing, and aligning executives with the fund’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor financial performance by tracking KPIs, improving margins, and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Execute exit strategies by preparing portfolio companies for trade sales, IPOs, or secondary buyouts.
Qualifications Please only apply if you meet the qualifying criteria (below).
- You must have experience driving value creation across multiple portfolio companies within a PE fund. Hands-on execution is essential.
- Strong understanding of P&L ownership, financial structuring, operational efficiency, and M&A integration.
- You must have successfully led restructuring, performance turnarounds, or carve-outs previously.
- You need to be comfortable influencing C-suite teams, presenting to investment committees, and working at board level.
- This is a generalist role requiring experience across multiple industries.
