The Opportunity
Finatal is working with a colossus VC backed Crypto Financial Services Software business with over £170mil annual revenue, seeking a Senior Accountant. The successful hire will be technically strong, a hands-on candidate who is proactive in their approach in a high growth, dynamic business, with constant changing demands.
The Responsibilities
· Oversee bank accounts and cryptocurrency wallets.
· Providing month end support, managing closing and reporting and Variance analysis.
· Prepare Statutory Accounts filings in accordance with local GAAP.
· Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and paid in a timely manner.
· Prepare journal entries for the senior controller’s approval.
· Prepare general ledger account analysis.
· Review and approve junior team members’ work.
· Maintain P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, identify and research any large variances.
· Lead year-end audit work for entities under purview.
· Prepare VAT and R&D credit filing and reconciliation.
· Act as backup for members of the finance leadership team as required.
The Requirements
· ACA/ACCA qualification with 3+ years PQE
· Fintech, SaaS and Crypto experience in dynamic start-up environments
· Experience in managing finance team, delivering technical advice across the function
· Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, UK/EU GAAP, US GAAP)
· Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, Trovata, FloQast)
· Interest in the crypto industry and awareness of the changes occurring in global regulations
