We’re working with a global, high-growth business serving financial services and other heavily regulated clients. They’re hiring a Transformation Lead in London.
This role is designed for someone coming out of a strategy, operations or transformation consultancy who wants to move in-house. You’ll do the work you already do well: diagnosing problems, building business cases, designing operating models and producing board-ready materials. The difference is that you’ll stay to deliver it and see the results through.
What you’ll do
- Turn business strategy and value-creation priorities into clear transformation programmes, roadmaps and success measures
- Build business cases covering baselines, cost-benefit analysis, investment requirements and scenarios
- Find and quantify opportunities in revenue growth, cost reduction and productivity
- Design target operating models across organisation, processes, governance, technology and ways of working
- Support programme governance and executive steering groups, and challenge plans, risks and decisions where needed
- Work with Finance and business owners to track benefits and make sure value is actually delivered
- Produce clear, visually strong PowerPoint for executive committees, boards and investors
- Run senior workshops and build trusted relationships with executives and functional heads
- Get hands-on with delivery of key initiatives when it’s needed
What we’re looking for
- A background in strategy, operations or transformation consulting. Management consultancy, Big 4 strategy or FS-specialist firms would all be ideal
- Experience shaping and delivering complex, cross-functional transformation in financial services, including its commercial drivers and regulatory considerations
- Strong commercial skills, with a track record of building business cases and quantifying value
- Advanced Excel and analytical modelling, plus board-quality PowerPoint
- Confidence in front of senior executives and comfort challenging established thinking
- A structured, hypothesis-led approach, with the ability to move between strategy and practical implementation
Nice to have
- Exposure to private equity, value creation or investor-led environments
- Experience presenting to boards or investment committees
- Relevant change, programme or finance qualifications
Why this role
- The natural next step after consulting: real ownership, rather than handing over the deck and rolling off
- Close exposure to executive leadership and steering groups from day one
- A global business with ambitious growth plans
- £120–130k base salary
Please note: Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
