Challenge:
Over the course of 12 months, Riverside Equity Partners had three key portfolio companies (Bohemia Interactive Simulations, Guestline & Brooksons) that they planned to exit. In all instances, their CFOs lacked bandwidth and needed external support to allow them to maximise value for the exit.
Action:
We were brought in to source exit support consultants that were able to dig into heavy data sets, create robust financial models, build the data room, and be the key point of contact for external advisors. Shortlists were provided within 24 hours of mandate and successful hires were secured in all three cases within 72 hours.
Impact:
All three exits were highly successful: Bohemia sold to BAE Systems, Guestline sold to The Access Group (Hg Capital-backed), and Brooksons sold to People 2.0 (TPG-backed). Strong references were provided for all three consultants with the CFOs noting the tangible increase in value – and ultimately exit price.
