The challenge
Dura/Shiloh, a global tier-one automotive supplier, required specialist interim leadership to support the wind-down, liquidation and sale process for seven global operating facilities.
The assignment called for experience in distressed businesses and wind-downs, with close control of cash and liquidity throughout. The leaders needed to help coordinate site exits against the required schedule while managing the financial demands of the process.
The search
Finatal drew on established relationships with restructuring specialists, including a candidate we had previously placed and whose turnaround and wind-down experience we knew well.
We worked with the client on the budget required to secure the right expertise and prioritized candidates who could start promptly. The assessment centered on direct experience of distressed environments and the practical demands of executing a wind-down.
The result
Finatal secured an Interim CFO and an Interim Restructuring Director, meeting the client’s required timetable. Both brought experience in distressed environments and wind-down assignments.
The appointments added specialist leadership to manage the financial and operational requirements of the process, with a focus on cash control, liquidity and orderly execution across the affected facilities.
