The challenge
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions, a Capitol Meridian Partners-backed aviation workforce business, had grown through acquisitions. Its ERP configuration no longer matched the operating model the company needed, creating a requirement for diagnostic work and reimplementation.
The business needed an immediately available leader with specialist aviation experience and a strong understanding of ERP systems used in aviation services. Success also depended on connecting the technology work with business processes and the needs of stakeholders across the organization.
The search
Finatal mapped candidates with experience across aviation, maintenance, repair and overhaul, and ERP delivery. Our assessment focused on implementation experience and the ability to manage stakeholders through change.
As the search developed, we advised LAUNCH to refine the brief from a primarily technical ERP lead to a business-facing transformation program manager. This sharpened the assessment around industry knowledge, business processes and the ability to guide implementation in a complex operating environment.
The result
LAUNCH appointed a career aviation technology executive, adding immediate subject-matter expertise to the transformation program.
The appointment filled a critical leadership gap and brought together aviation knowledge, ERP delivery experience and an understanding of business process change. The leader’s remit was to help reduce delivery risk and align the program with LAUNCH’s target operating model.
